Domestic market
Although LYSI is first and foremost an exporting company with sales to almost 70 countries, it has developed an important home market in Iceland. LYSI has a market share of over 50% on the Icelandic health foods market. Various consumer products have been developed and are offered for sale in local shops, including cod liver oil for children, lemon and fruit flavoured cod liver oil, Omega-3 Forte, blister packs of Omega-3, Health Duet and Sport Trio, and many more. For LYSI, the domestic market plays an essential role as a benchmark, testing ground and research site.

Consumer products for export
Consumer products for export are packaged in LYSI’s new factory in Reykjavik. They are either sold under the LYSI brand in the respective market or under the customer’s private label. Customers are located in the United States, Finland, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Denmark, Russia, Germany and Netherlands, to name a few. In addition, new markets are opening up in the Middle East and Asia.

Bulk products for export
Bulk products are sold to manufacturers in numerous countries, including the United Kingdom, India, Germany, United States, Australia, China and Sweden to name a few. The primary products are cod liver oil, tuna oil, salmon oil, omega-3 fish oil, shark liver oil, squalene, capelin fish oil and various fish meal products.
